FLINT, MI – Kettering University was named one of the top 15 colleges in the country to launch a career, Forbes has announced.
The private Flint STEM-focused university was the only Michigan college or university on the list, which was published on Dec. 8.
Forbes highlighted Kettering’s co-op programs, internships and workforce preparation as strengths.
Kettering University requires all students to complete a co-op, while the national rate for undergraduates completing a co-op or internship before graduating is just 41 percent, according to a news release from the college.
Students are paid for their work in co-op opportunities, earning approximately 2.5 years of full-time work experience and more than $55,000 before graduation, according to the release.
