FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - A mural dedicated to fallen Prestonsburg and Floyd County law enforcement officers was vandalized Sunday night.
The mural honors officer Jacob Chaffins, Capt. Ralph Frasure, Deputy William Petry, and K-9 officer Drago. The four were ambushed and killed in Allen, Kentucky, on June 30, 2022.
“Such a tragic event that happens in a small town touches the lives of a lot of people. And it’s still fresh in the mind of a lot of people,” Floyd County prosecuting attorney Keith Bartley told WSAZ. “So, it’s very sad to have somebody feel like defacing it is appropriate or even allowed.”
