ROSEBURG, Ore. - A suspicious death in the Green District has led to the arrest of a Roseburg resident in connection with a possible fentanyl overdose, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
DCSO officials said that 34-year-old Zachary Slaymaker was found dead on Dec. 4 in his home on Grange Road. Evidence suggests a drug overdose, with fentanyl as the likely cause, sheriff's officials said. Authorities said that detectives from the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) identified George Perez, 39, as a suspect. They believe he sold fentanyl to Slaymaker shortly before his death, sheriff's officials said.
