BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Monday, the Hesiman Trophy Trust announced the 2025 finalists, who will earn a trip to New York City for the award ceremony, with Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed missing the list.
Released in alphabetical order, the finalists are Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin.
Reed completed 61.8% of his passes this season for 2,932 yards and 25 passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 466 yards and six scores. Reed’s completion percentage and passing yards were less than the other three quarterback contenders he listed.
