DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Keep your eyes to the sky as the Macon County Conservation District is hosting a watch party for the strongest meteor shower of the year.
MCCD will host a watch party to view the Geminid Meteor Shower from 9-11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Friends Creek Conservation Area.
Attendees are encouraged to wear warm clothing and bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Hot chocolate will also be available at the new pavilion.
Those interested must register by noon on Dec. 12, and registration is online .
