DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Danville man has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty in two separate drug cases.
On December 3, Mathiew Woodard, of Danville, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty in two separate cases to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a class 1 felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a class 3 felony.
He will serve a year of probation following his prison term.
On December 3, 2024, a deputy with the Vermilion County
Sheriff’s Department was investigating a retail theft and questioned Mathiew Woodard. Woodard was found to be in possession of approximately 28 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Further lab tests done by the Illinois State Police Crime Lab also returned positive results for methamphetamine.
