RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Monday’s winter storm caused flight cancellations and delays at Richmond International Airport for the second time in less than four days.
According to FlightAware, seven flights were canceled on Monday, including a JetBlue flight to Boston that kept passengers on board for seven hours before the pilot’s shift timed out.
Jean Roberts was among the passengers on the canceled Boston flight. She said they boarded at 10:30 a.m. but faced repeated de-icing problems.
“They de-iced the plane several times, but by the time they de-iced the entire plane, they either ran out of de-icing fuel or the wing that they de-iced iced up again,” Roberts said.
Roberts said problems with another aircraft added to their wait time.
