WITTMANN, AZ (AZFamily) — A former Arizona school bus driver for a district northwest of the Valley is facing multiple charges after investigators said he molested at least one child.
Officials wrote in a letter to parents earlier this month that Charles Ellington was arrested on Dec. 1 and booked into jail the next day.
District leaders said they were first told about the investigation into Ellington on Sept. 3. He was placed on administrative leave, and the district cooperated with the investigation, officials said.
On Sept. 11, Ellington was given a notice that he was going to be fired, and on Oct. 8, he was let go. He had been with the district since Aug. 26, 2021.
NUSD said all the victims in the case have been identified and are helping with the investigation.
