FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a man and a woman found dead inside an apartment, officials say.

Officers were called Monday to an apartment complex at 5700 Remington Circle for a welfare check after the victim's employer became concerned when she didn't show up for work, police say. They had tried to contact her multiple times before police were called.

Upon arrival, police say officers forced entry into the apartment, where they found the victim, 46-year-old Tiffney Wilson,, and an adult man, the suspect, both in the living room with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say investigators believe the pair were in a romantic relationship.
