The arrival of Storm Bram has triggered safety warnings across Scotland as the Met Office issues yellow and amber flood, heavy rain and wind weather alerts . Due to the torrential conditions, the public has been issued 'stay indoors' instructions. ‌

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is urging people to take extra precautions as Storm Bram hits. It is expected to bring torrential rain and fierce winds to several parts of the UK, including Scotland. ‌

Storm Bram will hit on Tuesday with severe winds and heavy rain, and additional bad weather is anticipated on Wednesday. An amber warning for north-west Scotland predicts gusts up to 90mph. ‌

Elsewhere, saturated ground in Wales and south-west England increases the risk of flooding. T
