CHEBOYGAN — Cheboygan always knows how to ring in the holiday spirit.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, hundreds of paradegoers were on hand to watch the annual Parade of Lights that took place in downtown Cheboygan.

The parade, which made its way down Main Street, featured several floats for those in attendance. Many local businesses and other organizations were present throughout the event.

Once the parade was over, several went over to Festival Square, where they met up with Santa Claus, who did the lighting of the community's Christmas tree.

Prior to the start of the parade, a pre-parade party took place at Washington Park.

Making his first appearance at the Parade of Lights was Huron, the Main Street Polar Bear, who is a 9-foot-tall sculpture with a Santa Claus hat and a bright red scarf. Bef
