The Eagles’ 22-19 overtime loss to the Chargers Monday night was defined by Saquon Barkley’s resurgence, the defense’s relentless pressure and, most glaringly, a five-turnover meltdown from quarterback Jalen Hurts that erased multiple opportunities to leave SoFi Stadium with a win.
Quarterbacks: D-
Hurts threw four interceptions, lost a fumble and repeatedly forced balls into coverage, offsetting 240 passing yards and sinking the offense with the OT pick that sealed the defeat. Hurts seems to be feast-or-famine, either ultra-conservative or throwing bad interceptions.
Running backs: A-
Saquon Barkley buoyed the attack, rushing 20 times for 122 yards and a 52-yard touchdown, consistently providing life behind a battered offensive line.
