Love sauerkraut balls? Try a good dozen at Akron Lock 3 celebration

Akron's Sauerkraut Ball, a new event that pays homage to one of the area’s most beloved holiday snacks, will take over Lock 3 Dec. 13 with a celebration of the delicacy in numerous varieties from local restaurants.

The festive event, presented by Stray Dog, will run from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Lock 3 Wonderland Room at 200 S. Main St. in Akron.
