A man has been arrested after he allegedly fled the scene of a crash involving a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy in Pompano Beach.

BSO officials said the crash involving a deputy in their patrol vehicle and one other car had shut down traffic in all directions at West Atlantic Boulevard and Northwest 27th Avenue at around 5:41 a.m. Monday.

Oscar Enrique Soliz-Rodriguez, 25, was the other driver, according to jail records.

Authorities said after the crash, the deputy was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.

Soliz-Rodriguez left the scene, but "was eventually located and arrested" for leaving the scene of an accident, BSO said.
