As a part of its year-long celebration of American concert music, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra’s annual holiday performances will transport listeners to a Christmastime USO show.
“We’re doing a massive celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States this season and I thought it would be fun to do a show in the style of the USO Christmas shows of the World War II era,” said Lee Mills, the Greenville Symphony’s music director and conductor.
“It’s also a way to pay tribute to the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces,” he added.
The Holiday at Peace concerts will welcome a starry lineup direct from Broadway, including Michael Maliakel and Lissa deGuzman from “Aladdin,” Olivia Donalson from “Six,” and Michael McCrary & The VIBE Dancers.
