INDIANAPOLIS — An 18-year-old man is facing charges for murder after allegedly shooting his father and his father's girlfriend and setting their Indianapolis house on fire on Thanksgiving.

On Dec. 12, IMPD announced the arrest of Jaren Morgan. A warrant had been issued for for his arrest for four counts of murder, two counts of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and arson.

Police said Morgan was taken into custody Dec. 11 upon his release from a hospital, which he was taken to following a crash during a police pursuit the day of the shooting.

According to court documents, IMPD officers were dispatched around 10:30 a.m. Nov. 27 to a home located on the 3700 block of North Audubon Road , near 38th Street and North Arlington Avenue, to help the Indianapolis Fire Department with a w
