WASHINGTON — For most of the year, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is locked behind a paywall for Apple TV, a paid streaming service run by the iPhone maker.

But for one weekend in December, you'll be able to watch the classic Christmas movie for free.

The Peanuts animated specials used to air on network TV around the holidays but this will be the fourth year in a row where you can only watch the Christmas special on Apple TV+. The streaming service became the home to all things Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, including the beloved holiday specials, back in 2020.
