Police have urged shoppers to "remain vigilant" after two women had their purses snatched in Warrington . One victim was in the Cancer Research shop in Sankey Street when she was pickpocketed, while the other was in Golden Square Shopping Centre when she discovered her bag was open and cash had been taken.
Both thefts took place on Wednesday, December 3. Inspector Lee Connor, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “While everyone is busy Christmas shopping, its it is easy to be caught up in the moment. That’s why we’re urging people to remain vigilant and keep your eye on your bags and on your surroundings.
