LSU’s roster is coming together for the Texas Bowl , and it will be without several starters.
Interim head coach Frank Wilson said Tuesday that cornerback Mansoor Delane , quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and linebacker Whit Weeks will not play Dec. 27 against No. 21 Houston because of injuries.
Wide receiver Aaron Anderson’s status is in doubt, and center Braelin Moore has a chance to play. Defensive end Jack Pyburn and others may opt out, Wilson said, but that has not been finalized.
“We are in discussion with some of those veteran players who may opt out,” Wilson said. “We’re anticipating having the lion’s share of our team in quantity and in quality to be able to participate.”
The Tigers are playing in the Texas Bowl for the second straight season and the third time in the past
