Drivers have been facing long delays on the M4 all day (Image: John Myers)
There have been severe delays along the M4 all day on Tuesday, December 9, due to high winds caused by Storm Bram and emergency repairs being carried out on the Prince of Wales Bridge.
Everything you need to know:
Since Tuesday morning, the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge has only had one lane open in both directions due to emergency lighting repairs. National Highways shut two lanes after urgent safety inspections of lighting columns on the bridge identified an "immediate risk". They said that several lighting columns required immediate removal "due to risk of collapse", but high winds must subside before the necessary work can take place.
As a result of the lane closures, drivers are facing delays of around 70 min
