CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - More than 1,500 Duke Energy customers were without power Tuesday morning in a west Charlotte neighborhood.
At around 10:14 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, power went out for many in the Pawtuckett area of west Charlotte, just north of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. As of this writing, 1,552 Duke Energy customers were in the dark in that area.
Duke Energy said the outage was “caused by an object coming into contact with our power lines.” The utility company did not provide more specific details about what happened.

Power was expected to be restored by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Duke.
