CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Riders who take Charlotte’s Blue Line everyday say they’re unnerved by a stabbing on a light rail last week .
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested Oscar Solarzano , 33, shortly after the attack near the Parkwood Station in Noda.
The victim is recovering.
Solarzano was previously cited for illegally carrying a large knife at a different light rail station in October, but didn’t show up for court, court records show. That same month, CATS banned him from their property, the public transportation agency said.
“I hope it gets better because stuff like that, it makes you cautious of should I get on the train or should I not, if I’m going to be next or who else is going to be next,” said Derek Wideman, who rides regularly.
