Kyle Schwarber has agreed to a deal to return to the Phillies, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand on Tuesday. The contract is expected to be for five years and worth $150 million. The club has not confirmed.
With a penchant for colossal dingers and a flair for the dramatic, Schwarber has become one of baseball’s preeminent power hitters.
The 32-year-old put together an incredible walk year in 2025, leading the National League with 56 homers and the Majors with 132 RBIs while ranking fifth among qualifiers with a .928 OPS.
After the season, the Phillies tendered a qualifying offer to Schwarber, which he declined. The QO, which would have paid him $22.025 million for 2026, attached him to Draft compensation; Philadelphia would have received a 2026 Draft pick after the fourth round if
