CROSS CITY, Fla. — Dixie County Fire Rescue is rallying around one of its own after EMT Anne “Bambi” Roberson was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In a show of solidarity, Roberson’s colleagues shaved their heads on Dec. 5 to support her, calling her a devoted member of the Dixie County fire family and vowing to stand by her side throughout her treatment, WCJB reported.

In a Facebook post, the department said Roberson, a nearly 20-year veteran of the department, had been diagnosed with breast cancer and is facing treatment with the same strength and courage she brings to the job.
