Jalen Hurts had a night to forget on Monday Night Football.
Not only did the Eagles quarterback throw four interceptions in an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but he also did something that has never been documented in NFL history.
He turned the ball over twice on one play.
The bizarre play occurred during the second quarter when a Hurts pass was intercepted by Chargers defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand, who returned the interception seven yards before fumbling.
Hurts, who was tracking the play, scooped up the ball but then immediately fumbled it before the it was recovered by Chargers defensive back Troy Dye. That’s an interception and a fumble on the same play. Or for fantasy football players, a minus-4-point play.
According to Elias Sports Bureau, Hurts is the first play
