TACOMA, Wash. — Video taken Sunday night shows Greggy Sorio, known to his supporters as “Kuya G," struggling on crutches to climb out of a van at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and board a deportation flight.

Less than a day later, he was back inside the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma. A temporary restraining order was granted Monday night, preventing ICE from deporting him for the next two weeks, according to Tanggol Migrante.

“The Philippine Airlines medical team deemed him as unfit to travel on the plane and he was escorted off,” said Noah Ajeto with Tanggol Migrante, a Filipino immigrant justice group.

Ajeto said Sorio’s health is too fragile for the more than 14-hour flight to the Philippines.
