John Cena is nearing the end of his professional wrestling career, and he revealed when talk of his WWE retirement initially began. Cena has earned the reputation of being a legend in the wrestling business, but as he nears the age of 49, the "Never Seen 17" is focusing on his successful Hollywood run.

Back in 2024, Cena announced his farewell tour at "Money in the Bank." During an interview with Chris Van Vliet , Cena discussed how long he'd been thinking about retiring prior to the announcement.

"About another year and a half," Cena said. "So, the whole thing was like three years."
