COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Columbia Metropolitan Airport has unveiled its two-year checkpoint expansion project.
The expansion includes multiple lounges, an outdoor patio, a sensory room, and other areas for people to work.
The facilities are just on the other side of the TSA checkpoint, which will also have two new lines as part of the project.
The lounges and spaces are free to use once travelers go through TSA.
CAE said it hopes to eventually add a food or beverage concession inside the newly developed area.
CAE added that the project is being completed at the perfect time as the airport continues to see more flight traffic.
The airport said the project cost about $10 million.
