MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - University of Wisconsin-Madison is set to celebrate its 2025 winter commencement ceremony this weekend.
The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Kohl Center. It is expected to last about two-and-a-half hours.
There is no ticketing for attendance, and seating is general admission. Doors will open for the public at 8 a.m.
Commencement will be held regardless of the weather, UW officials said. If there is snow, the university will have extra crews out to clear nearby sidewalks and parking lots.
Over 2,000 students are expected to receive their degrees during Sunday’s ceremony.
Grace (Stanke) Vanderhei, a class of 2023 nuclear fuels engineering graduate, Wausau native and 2023’s Miss America , will be delivering the keynote address. Chanc
