Arizona gas prices are declining, but are still well above the national average that fell below $3 a gallon this week for the first time in four years.
National prices this week hit $2.99 a gallon while Arizona overall dropped five cents to $3.27 per gallon, according to AAA. While local drivers saw a decline at the pump this year, the price around the state is still nine cents higher than this time last year.
Oil prices have hovered around $60 a barrel, which has added to prices falling, AAA officials said.
