The Philadelphia Eagles suffered another brutal loss on Monday night — and in the process, their chances at securing the NFC’s No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs were all but put to rest.
The Eagles are now 8-5 after suffering their third loss in a row, this time in overtime against the Los Angeles Chargers in front of a national “Monday Night Football” audience.
Everyone watching saw that Jalen Hurts, Kevin Patullo and the Eagles are a far cry from the NFC’s best team. The numbers bear that out, too.
The Eagles have a less than 1% chance to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC postseason, according to The Athletic’s updated projection model .
