Tim Skipper has never shied away from talking about his journey to becoming a college football coach.

There were plenty of twists, turns and some unexpected surprises that came along the way.

“It’s been pretty crazy,” Skipper said on Monday, during his introductory press conference as Cal Poly’s 19th head football coach.

But he reassured everyone that he wouldn’t trade it for anything; the lessons he learned along the way were too valuable.

“It made me feel like I’m already so far ahead, and now I’m around people that are on the same wavelength,” Skipper said. “I feel really good, but you always look back. It was a challenge, but I will use all those experiences. They will not go to waste.”
