Wreaths Across America comes to town

Coinciding with national Wreaths Across America on Saturday, Dec. 13, locals will gather for a short ceremony at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery at 10 a.m., followed by the laying of 1,200 wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers.

Volunteers are invited to help assemble and lay the wreaths by signing up at Rancho Purisima NSDAR's website at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/167630/Overview/?relatedId=167666

Patrons attending are advised to bring a chair for the ceremony, if needed.

During the Wreaths Across America Wreaths Day it is estimated that over 2 million wreaths will be placed on veterans' graves in thousands of locations, domestically and abroad.

Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery is located at 600 South C Street.
