Tributes have been paid following the death of a much-loved father. The body of Stephen Cromarty, a well-known supporter of Rochdale AFC, was pulled from Salford Quays on Friday (December 5).
Officials at Bolton Coroners' Court confirmed a file had been received in his name today (Tuesday, December 9). An inquest into the death will be opened in due course, a spokeswoman said.
Emergency services closed off part of Salford Quays after a body was pulled from the water. The incident happened outside Salford Watersports Centre.
Following the death of dad-of-two Mr Cromarty, from Heywood , Rochdale AFC joined friends and family to pay tribute to him. His daughter posted an image of her with her dad and wrote on X: "Forever in my heart. I'll miss you dad."
