PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A lottery player hit it big after buying a ticket at a liquor store in south Phoenix on Monday.
The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Paradise Liquor Mini Mart, near 7th and Southern avenues , and was worth $50,000. A Power Play doubled the prize to $100,000.
Powerball numbers were 8, 32, 52, 56, and 64 with Powerball number 23. While no one won the jackpot, one player from Florida matched all five white balls to win $1 million.
The jackpot remains unclaimed and is estimated at $930 million , with the next drawing scheduled for Wednesday.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, with odds of winning the jackpot sitting at 1 in 292.2 million, according to the lottery.
