Michael Duarte’s cause and manner of death have been revealed.

The food influencer — best known by the social media handle @FoodWithBearHands — died from a gunshot wound on November 8 following a standoff with police in Texas, and his manner of death was officially ruled a homicide, Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office exclusively confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday, December 9.

Further details are not available as the investigation and case file are ongoing.

Duarte’s loved ones announced he died in a “horrible incident” in Texas last month, just three days after he celebrated his ninth wedding anniversary with his wife, Jessica.
