COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police released dashcam video Tuesday showing a fatal crash involving a cruiser that occurred on the city's west side over the weekend.

Police said around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, an officer was traveling eastbound on West Broad Street with her cruiser's lights and siren activated while responding to a burglary in progress.

The dashcam video shows the officer driving down West Broad Street and passing through several green lights. When the cruiser approached the stoplight at North Central Avenue, the light was red.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on North Central Avenue at the West Broad Street intersection.
