COLUMBUS, Ohio — A former Pike County police officer was sentenced to 10 years in prison for leading a drug trafficking ring responsible for mailing over 2,500 packages of steroids and distributing 11 kilograms of cocaine, according to United States Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II.
The U.S. attorney’s office said 42-year-old Mark Anglemeyer, Jr., of Waverly, imported chemicals from China and traveled across the country and the world to secure narcotics.
Anglemeyer worked for the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and for police departments in Waverly, Piketon and Wellston.
According to court documents, from 2019-24, Anglemeyer reportedly ran his drug trafficking operation out of Waverly, where he dealt both anabolic steroids and cocaine.
