The death of a sister-in-law of former U.S. Sen. and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at a Valencia parking garage in October has been ruled a suicide, the county medical examiner said Tuesday.

Carrie Elizabeth Romney, 64, was found dead on the night of Oct. 10 inside the garage in the 24500 block of Town Center Drive in the community north of Los Angeles.

The cause of Romney's death was determined to be blunt traumatic injuries, the county medical examiner said, adding that the fatal injuries were from a fall from the rooftop of the five-story parking structure near the Hyatt Regency hotel. The manner of death was suicide, the medical examiner said Tuesday.
