CHARLES TOWN— The annual Charles Town/Ranson Christmas Parade kicked off at 2 p.m. Saturday, following the rescue of Santa from the roof of United Bank on Washington Street in Charles Town.

The jolly old elf once again found himself high above the crowd as members of Citizens Fire Company helped him reach the ground via their ladder truck.
