The head of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood and Safety Engagement is reacting to the back-and-forth between the mayor and the state’s attorney over the city’s top prosecutor essentially severing ties with MONSE.
MONSE Director Stefanie Mavronis is hoping Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates and Mayor Brandon Scott can work out their differences at an upcoming meeting.
“We’ve seen ourselves as great partners with the state’s attorney’s office,” Mavronis said. “We hope that that continues.”
