Virginia’s Tony Elliott and James Madison’s Bob Chesney are among 12 finalists announced Tuesday for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, last year’s award winner who came from James Madison, is also on the list.

Elliott, the ACC Coach of the Year, guided the Cavaliers to only their second 10-win season (10-2) and their second berth in the ACC championship in school history.

Chesney has led the Dukes (12-1) to the school’s first College Football Playoff berth.

Reports: W&M QB to enter portal

William & Mary quarterback Tyler Hughes plans to enter the transfer portal, multiple media outlets have reported.

The 6-0, 200-pound, Marietta, Georgia, native passed for 2,330 yards and 20 touchdowns
