DANVILLE, Ind. — Capacity, temperature and mold are among the concerns inside the Hendricks County Animal Control Shelter that people want to see fixed.
It's issues dog trapper and shelter volunteer Jennifer Hopkins knows all about.
"I look around, I look at the kennel staff, I look at the volunteers and everything like that. It's breaking their heart. It really is," she said. "I mean, we deserve better. They deserve better. The community deserves better."
A day after Thanksgiving, the heat went out inside the shelter because of a bad valve. The county says due to communications issues, they fixed the system three days later.
