PALMYRA, Maine (WABI) - For years, Drafty Acres farm in Palmyra has been creating memories with families from all over, with horse drawn rides throughout the year and through the winter season.

“We mostly do sleigh rides in the wintertime, and I do a few off-site events throughout the year, for different town festivals, and family get-togethers, and events hire out,” says owner Tyler Norris.

Norris says that preserving horse drawn rides has been part of his family for years.

“Kind of a touch back to Maine roots. Horses are a big part of Maine, they built most of these farms, and most of the farm work was done with them over the years,” says Norris. “Right now, I have two horses, they’re both 13. One male, his name is Leon, one female, her name is Olivia.”
