ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is once again calling on the public to help name eight snowplows, one for each MnDOT district.

Submissions for witty, unique, and Minnesota- or winter-themed names are open until noon on December 19. Each participant can submit one name, limited to 30 characters.

Names must be free of profanity and political references. Past winners are not eligible.

MnDOT staff will shortlist entries, with public voting set for January 2026.
