GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Looking for this season's "Plowabunga!" or "Anthony Sledwards"? Maybe Tuesday's snowfall will provide a little inspiration.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is accepting submissions for the 2025-26 Name a Snowplow Contest through Friday, Dec. 19. MnDOT staff will select some of the best names and invite the public to decide in January 2026. Eight names will be chosen for each MnDOT district.

Last year's winners included "We're Off To See The Blizzard", "Don'tcha Snow", and "Snowtorious B.I.G."

According to MnDOT, a person can only submit one name (limited to 30 characters) and must not include anything considered vulgar or inappropriate.
