CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids will host a free health insurance event Saturday to help others navigate the enrollment process.

The event will take place on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be located on Level 1 of the hospital at the Hallagan Education Center.

During the event, trained professionals will help with Marketplace applications, renewals, and answer questions about health coverage options.

Mercy hosted a similar event last month . Organizers said they saw a need to help people navigate their options.

Participants should bring photo identification, Social Security cards, proof of income, and any current insurance details to speed up the process. No appointment is needed.
