A former Hahnville High School employee has been arrested, accused of engaging in indecent behavior with two students, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

Devin Candies, 30, of Luling, was arrested Dec. 8, and charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The sheriff’s office said their investigation began in September after the school district received an anonymous email accusing Candies of inappropriate behavior with the two minors. The sender claimed to have screenshots of social media messages between Candies and the students.

The district said it immediately forwarded the information to the sheriff’s office. Candies was no longer employed at the school, he left in July 2025.
