FARGO — Former North Dakota State assistant football coach Tyler Roehl is expected to be the next offensive coordinator at Iowa State, according to Detroit Free Press reporter Dave Birkett.

Roehl is currently the tight ends coach for the Detroit Lions. He's in his first season with the Lions.

Roehl was an assistant head coach and running backs coach at Iowa State in 2024 for former head coach Matt Campbell, who recently took the Penn State head coaching job.

Former South Dakota State head coach Jimmy Rogers was recently named the head coach at Iowa State after Rogers spent this past season at Washington State.

Roehl is now set to unite with former Missouri Valley Football Conference foe Rogers.
