Gwyneth Paltrow is back on the big screen starring alongside Timothée Chalamet in Josh Safdie's much-hyped Marty Supreme , a film inspired by the life of table tennis player Marty Reisman .
The comedy drama marks Paltrow's return to acting, having been last seen in cinemas in 2019's Avengers: Endgame , the same year in which she appeared in Netflix series The Politician .
Paltrow stars in Marty Supreme as Kay Stone, a wealthy socialite and ex-actress who becomes friends with the titular character.
Speaking to Frankenstein 's Jacob Elordi for Variety , the actor and Goop founder opened up on why she decided to make a return to acting.
"I felt a lot of loneliness when I was doing it in my 20s. I didn’t know myself well yet, and I was traveling all the time," Paltrow
